Sometimes the best food can be found on wheels. Food trucks today boast gourmet nibbles and top notch chefs. Made famous by the Food Network and events like San Francisco’s Off the Grid, the food truck craze is upon us. Thousands of people attend these events, coming from near and far.
Discovery Bay will now enjoy it’s own Food Truck Round Up the 2nd Wednesday of every month, starting in April, at the Discovery Bay Community Center. A collection of favorite food trucks will gather, offering tasty dinner and dessert options along with local wine and beer pouring and a little live music, Expect unique culinary offerings from lobster and ceviche, to twists on favorites like gourmet grilled cheese and wood fired pizza.
Event spokesperson and Chamber of Commerce president, Carolyn Graham, expressed her excitement for the new event: “This is going to be a wonderful monthly treat for our community. We’re going to have a fabulous collection of delicious and unique food options, great local winery and beer representation, live music and a lot of fun.”
