Mosquito Fogging Thursday  

  The Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District will be fogging by truck to control adult mosquitoes tomorrow night, Thursday, September 13 in the Brentwood and Discovery Bay areas. For additional information please visit the District’s website, where you can find interactive maps of the locations to be fogged.

More mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus in parts of Antioch, Byron, Discovery Bay and Knightsen, indicating an elevated risk of West Nile Virus in East Contra Costa County. Dead birds have been found in Antioch, Concord and San Ramon.

Wearing mosquito repellent is essential. Anyone of any age can contract the disease, said Public Affairs Manager Deborah Bass.
